I’ve taken this photo about a million times, but never with a shitty 50 year old lens!

Main Street, Nashville, TN. January 2, 2013.
Trying to force myself this year to limit photoblog posts to new stuff rather than drawing on my archives of old photos (excepting for yesterday, obviously), in an attempt to force myself into some measure of increased productivity. Here goes nothin.
William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, Nashville, TN. December 19, 2007.
Shortly after I took this photo I was harassed by federal reserve guards for being too close to the fed with a camera (I guess). The overreach of the federal police state manifested in power-crazed meatheads with guns always puts me in a festive spirit. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Kate O & Cat. November 24, 2007.
One of my favorite photos of my friend Kate, and one of the best results from my brief phase of experimentation with film (Ilford 3200 + Seagull 4B1).
Public Square, Nashville, TN. December 17, 2012.
Some nice light peeking through the storm clouds at sunset during this unseasonably warm December.
This kid was entranced by the (incredibly creepy, let’s be honest) adult-sized rudolph at the christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Police officer providing security at the Christmas Parade. Nashville, TN. December 7, 2012.
Ryman alley, Nashville, TN. April 2, 2012.
I like this photo because it reminds me of Bladerunner. For some reason.
Revelers* watching the Christmas Parade. Nashville, TN. December 3, 2010.
The Christmas Parade is coming up this Friday. Be sure not to miss it, as there are always amazingly exciting things, such as the wheels falling off of a shriner’s miniature car.
*Reveler is what you call a drunk person when you approve.
I-65 and Franklin Road, Nashville, TN. November 27, 2012.
My friend Will Clendening had a few paintings that I really loved — these monstrous canvases of black with broad, minimalist strokes of light. I’m not sure if he was actually going for it, but they reminded me of the sortof wistful loneliness of a late night drive. So I guess this photo is an homage of sorts in his memory.

I bet you didn’t think I knew what the skyline looked like from this side of the river, did you?!
